Product Overview
PL1310A 1310nm optical transmitter uses an ORTEL (EMCORE) or XESTON high performance DFB laser with AGC / MGC and OMI adjustable functions. There are also WEB/SNMP and plug-in power supply modules.
Our 1310nm optical transmitter is designed for long-distance optical fiber transmission of television signals. It combines an imported high-performance DFB laser as a light source with RF power automatic processing technology to ensure excellent machine performance. All of its excellent characteristics make it the first choice for large-scale HFC networks.

Technical FAQ: PL1310A 1310nm Optical Transmitter
Q1: How does the PL1310A maintain high CNR over long-distance links?
A: The 1310nm optical transmitter utilizes advanced RF power automatic processing technology and internal pre-distortion circuitry. By optimizing the OMI and using a high-isolation DFB laser, it achieves a CNR >51dB, minimizing signal degradation across the HFC fiber backbone.
Q2: Can I adjust the RF input levels manually?
A: Yes. While the AGC mode is standard for ease of use, the PL1310A allows you to switch to MGC mode. This enables technical staff to manually balance the RF input level and adjust the OMI via the front panel or WEB GUI to match specific headend combined output levels.
Q3: What are the cooling and power redundancy features for this transmitter?
A: Designed for mission-critical headends, the PL1310A includes a dual-fan cooling system and supports hot-swappable dual power supplies (AC or DC). The intelligent monitoring system automatically adjusts fan speed based on the laser’s internal temperature to extend the device’s lifespan.
