A headend optical platform supports broadband communications over HFC networks.It has a modular design that allows for maximum flexibility, scalability, high packaging density, and dependability. Premlink – CATV Optical Switch
CATV optical switch is an optical path converting device used in optical fiber transmission networks to test and monitor optical line health, ensuring network stability and long-term continuous operation of cable TV transmission. An optical switch is an optical device with one or more optional transmission ports that physically switches or logically operates optical signals in optical transmission lines or integrated optical circuits.
Premlink PL2600A is commonly used for system redundancy and backup in CATV optical fiber networks to protect optical transmission, such as EDFA. When the transmission of the working optical channel is interrupted or performance deteriorates to a certain extent, it automatically transfers the main signal to the backup optical fiber system for transmission, allowing the receiving end to receive normal signals without feeling as if the network failed. It will connect the network nodes into a ring, improving the network’s resilience.
