PL2000A CATV EDFA (high power EDFA) is a new generation EDFA (EYDFA) with a rebuilt and optimized internal mechanical and electrical structure, allowing for greater stability and reliability. It is characterized by low noise and high linearity performance to meet the most demanding requirements of CATV and FTTx applications. Our high power EDFA offers a flexible, low-cost solution for large area distribution networks.
PL2000A high power EDFA has a built-in universal Web browser for different OS, and also PL2000A has unique back reflection function. This type of high power EDFA has 1U, 2U, 3U rack mount , available with one port, 2, 4, or 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 ports.

Q1: How does the “Back Reflection” function protect the EDFA?
A: High-power EYDFAs are sensitive to reflected optical power. The PL2000A monitors back reflection in real-time. If a connector issue occurs, the system triggers an alarm to protect the pump lasers from damage, ensuring long-term hardware reliability.
Q2: Can I manage the PL2000A from a Mac or Linux system?
A: Yes. The PL2000A has a built-in universal Web browser. Since the management server is embedded, you can monitor and configure the unit from any operating system using a standard web browser without installing extra software.
Q3: What rack sizes are available for the PL2000A series?
A: Depending on the port count, we offer 1U, 2U, and 3U 19-inch rack-mount chassis. This allows for massive scaling, supporting up to 256 ports in a single distribution node.
Q4: Does this high power EDFA support SNMP?
A: Absolutely. It fully supports SNMP v1/v2c for integration into professional Network Management Systems (NMS), as well as local control via a 3.5” color touchscreen LCD.
