PL170A-5: Ultra-Compact FTTH Micro Node for XGSPON RF Overlay
The high-output micro receiver designed to bridge the gap between 10G-PON fiber and traditional coaxial distribution.
- Dual-PON Pass: This ftth micro node is engineered to split mixed wavelengths, passing both GPON (1310/1490nm) and XGSPON (1270/1577nm) signals to the ONU while extracting 1550nm for CATV.
- Plastic Housing: Despite its compacted size (80x50x25mm), it delivers a powerful ≥80dBµV RF output, sufficient to support multiple TV outlets in a modern household.
- MMIC Amplification: Incorporates a low-noise MMIC amplifier IC and a high-performance O-E converter tube to ensure superior non-linearity and sharp TV picture quality.
- Wide-Range Optical AGC: Maintains output stability via an integrated Automatic Gain Control (-10 to 0dBm), providing consistent performance across various fiber link distances.
- Technician-Friendly Balancing: Features a built-in adjustable attenuator (0~-20dB) for precise on-site calibration without the need for external attenuator pads.
Technical FAQ: PL170A-5 FTTH Micro Node
Q1: What are the primary advantages of an “ftth micro node” for service providers?
A: The primary advantage is space-saving. As residential media cabinets become crowded with ONUs, routers, and switches, the PL170A-5 ftth micro node offers an extremely small footprint while still providing the high-isolation WDM filtering needed for complex 10G-PON triple-play networks.
Q2: Does it support the high frequency required for modern digital services?
A: Yes. The PL170A-5 supports a frequency range from 47 to 1002MHz. This ensures full compatibility with 4K UHD broadcasting, high-definition QAM digital channels, and legacy analog TV services.
Q3: How can I verify the optical link status on the device?
A: The unit is equipped with a dual Power/Optical Indicator Display. This allows the end-user or installation technician to immediately see if the device is receiving adequate optical power (1550nm) and if the DC power supply is functioning correctly, drastically reducing support calls.
